- ⬥ What does your character consider to be their top 3 strengths?
1. Her ability to stay positive in the worst situations

⬥ What do others consider to be your character's worst weakness?
1. Can be too bossy
2. Gets "tunnel-visoned"; if there's a problem, Kaede can focus in on what she believes to be the best solution rather than viewing all the other options available to her
3. Has a lack of self-preservation; sometimes she'll walk right into dangerous situations
⬥ How does your character interact with others?
- Kaede is quick to offer warm smiles and the titles of classical music to fit the mood to everyone she meets. She remains positive even in the worst of situations, powering through with her best foot forward and doing everything she can to lift up everyone else around her... although sometimes that force is just a little too much for others around her to handle. Kaede doesn't always see that her actions can be harmful if she doesn't pay attention both the little and big picture, but ultimately she wants the best for others, and does everything she can to encourage them to do their best.
⬥ What motivates or drives your character?
- In normal every day life, Kaede simply wants to be able to play music all the time, and her desires are uncomplicated beyond that. After the New Semester of Mutual Killing begins, the thing she wants more than anything else is stop the mastermind and free herself and the others from the school they've been imprisoned in.
⬥ How does your character spend their free time?
- Playing piano! It's hard to find Kaede not playing, and just as difficult to tear her away from it if she is.
⬥ What is your character's greatest desire? - To bring smiles to people's faces with her playing.

AU Name: Kaede Akamatsu
AU Age: 16
AU History: While Kaede Akamatsu happened to be born in Japan and live there for the first five years of her life, her parents eventually moved back to their home in the American city of Vitae for the remainder of her childhood. While a little shy in her first few years of elementary school, Kaede still was able to win over others with her sweet and cheerful personality, and grew up generally well-liked among her peers. Above all else, she began playing piano before she even finished learning how to write all of her letters, and it became an obsession that's carried with her all the way to high school. As her confidence grew in elementary, she branched out to participating in piano competitions that carried her across the country. Between that and her position as the president of the debate club, she's become something of a miniature idol in school. While her school life is very bustling, the place that Kaede frequents more than any other is a music store tucked away into a quiet corner of the city. Owned by a kindly old man, it is the place she returns to as the quiet space where she can find peace with her music.

⬥ How does your character interact with others?
- For the most part this hasn't changed a great deal, but she can be a little more nervous with new people than in canon due to leftover nerves from her childhood. She can also get a little overwhelmed by attention; not so much that it burdens her or leaves her incapable of acting, but enough so that she will need quiet times alone with a piano to recenter herself. Kaede can also be a little more vulnerable with her feelings, trusting others a little too easily; enough for her to be taken advantage of in the past, but she's been fortunate that no one's truly done anything to bring her harm.
⬥ What motivates or drives your character?
- She wants to be able to play the piano all the time, so her goal is to work hard so she can go to Julliard for college.
